Luke and I don't get alone time together very often. We decided that we would go on a date Tuesday. We talked about going to the movies or going shopping, but decided we would go fishing and have a picnic at the farm instead. We've always enjoyed the outdoors. When we first started dating we went fishing all the time. And, that was probably the last time we fished without kids. It was so quiet and peaceful. We got to relax and enjoy each other. We talked and laughed. It was wonderful! Now that Kanyon is going to MDO it might become a regular thing. Time together alone reminds me of why we fell in love in the first place. Luke is my best friend. He is makes me laugh. We really do enjoy each other's company. That is easy to forget when you are parents. When we are at home we are tag team referees. We go into survival mode and our relationship usually gets put on the back burner. We always put our kids first. We love spending time with them, but it sure is nice to have some alone time!
I was the only one who caught any fish and I only caught two. Luke baited my hook, so it was a team effort.
