Happy Anniversary!

The meteorologist were predicting winter weather this week. Grandma and Grandpa decided to ride out the storm at the farm. So, Tuesday night Luke helped me get them firewood, put gas in Dandy and the Scout, clean out the fire place and build them a fire. Wednesday night he had bible study, so that left us very little time to prepare. My parents were out of town, so first thing Thursday morning he went to their house (in the freezing rain) to put wood on their porch and to build my Meme a fire. When he was done with that he still had to get wood in for us. During the storm he checked on Meme numerous times and cleaned off Mom and Dad's driveway for them before they arrived home. When he wasn't working, he was sledding with the kids or helping prepare dinner. Yesterday was our anniversary. Grandma and Grandpa decided they were ready to come home, so we all drove down to the farm to help them load up and to follow them home incase they had trouble. We followed them to their house and shoveled their driveway. We didn't have a romantic anniversary, but we spent the day with the people we love. There are a million reasons why I love Luke. Too many to list. He is an amazing man, husband and father. I don't know what I did to deserve such an amazing husband, but I will forever be grateful that he is in my life. He has always been and will forever be my best friend.

We've had so much fun! The kids love sledding. We cut donuts in the field at the farm. We played board games. Luke got an electric smoker for our anniversary and he got to try it out this weekend. I made snow ice cream and homemade chocolate milkshakes. We've made lots of great memories!

Happy Anniversary, Luke. I love you more than you will ever know!

Goodbye, Fall.

Well, fall has come and gone. The temperature has dipped into the 20's this weekend. The trees had ice hanging from their branches this morning and the weathermen are calling for a chance of snow tomorrow. We had unseasonably warm weather this fall and the trees were gorgeous!

We took some fall pictures at the farm.

We went back to the Buffalo this fall. This has become one of our favorite traditions. We hiked, played in the hot tub and ate way too much food! Mom and Charity brought Grandma and Grandpa over on Tuesday to eat lunch. It was a wonderful. trip. We made some great memories!

Happy Birthday, Kinnison!

Kinnison is EIGHT! Half way to driving. Sheesh.

I'm so proud of the beautiful yound lady she is growing into. She is kind hearted, generous, funny, smart and compasionate. She had a slumber party last Friday. We had 8 girls sleep over. It was a wild and crazy night, but they had a lot of fun. Kinnison asked for donations for Arkansas Children's Hospital instead of gifts. We are very proud of her. She is an amazing little girl. We are so blessed to be her parents!

Kinnison killed her first deer on the 2nd!

Kimber lost her first tooth on the 3rd!

Here is her video!

Champs!

The girls played in the Fall Ball Tournament at Farmington. The tournament was double elimination. They won the first game, lost the second game and won the last three games. They played their hearts out and did an awesome job. I'm so proud of them! They learned a lot this fall and made new friends. It was a great experience!

We found out last Friday that Kimber had pneumonia. She had to get a shot. That was a very unpleasant experience.

This Thursday Kanyon went to the doctor for an ear infection. One of his tubes came out and is still inside his ear. The ear is infected. We go back to the ENT this week to see if he needs another set of tubes.

Yesterday we went to the pumpkin patch. It is one of our favorite fall traditions!

Slacker.

I've been slacking on blog updates. Sorry.

My new job is great. I work with some wonderful ladies and my students are great. I can't believe how fast my days go by. I'm already seeing progress in my students and that makes me happy, happy, happy.

I had parent teacher conferences this week.

Kinnison is doing great in school. Her reading level is above where she is supposed to be at the end of 2nd grade. That is where she left off last year. Luckily, she read over the summer and didn't go backwards at all. She loves her teacher. Her homework load is light. Luke and I are thankful for that! Her teacher told me if she had a daughter she would want one like Kinnison. It made me tear up. She really is an amazing girl.

Kimber is excelling in kindergarten. She is going to bring home a book next week to start reading! She gets out of the treasure box almost every day. She is so excited to show us her work and we are so proud of how well she is doing! She gets to go on her first field trip next week. I'm excited and nervous at the same time! I'm so happy that she loves school. She has a very sweet, fun personality.

Kanyon loves his new school. He's such a sweet boy. He's a mess, but so much fun. We are working on peeing in the potty while standing up. Woo Hoo! He is talking in full sentences and repeats everything. He still loves tractors. He loves Monsters Inc., Toy Story and Cars. He learned to ride a scooter this week. His favorite food is a banana. He eats about 3 a day. He's crazy tough. When he falls he just laughs. His new laugh is like Revenge of the Nerds laugh. It is hilarious. He can full out form tackle the girls. He's even taken me down on occasion.

Both girls are playing fall ball this year. They are on the same team. It is really a fun team to watch!

Luke is also playing fall ball. We are staying crazy busy. I'm hoping things slow down soon.
We are getting closer to being done with the add on. As soon as it is finished I'll post pictures!

What A Week!

Well, we survived the first week of school! We had school, square dance, softball and the girls performed their cheer/dance at the Black and Gold game. Kanyon got sick and went to the doctor on Friday. It has been an exhausting week!

I'm proud to say that Kimber didn't cry. She didn't shed a single tear! She walked in like she owned the place and never looked back. I think she is going to have a great year! Kinnison is loving 2nd grade!

Tuesday was our sweet baby's 6th Birthday with Jesus. The day we found out that we lost the baby I was in shock. I never thought I would have to go through that again. Luke was with me this time and I thank God for that. I remember being numb and just wanting to leave. I forgot to ask Dr. Pickhardt for an ultrasound photo. I've always regretted that. Even though things didn't turn out how I wanted them to, I am grateful for every minute I had with my heavenly babies and I look forward to the day I get to be with them again!

We have another busy week ahead of us! I'm ready for things to slow down!

Catching Up...Again.

I can't believe summer is over!  Today was Kinnison's first day of 2nd Grade. She said she had a great day. She has some friends in her class and she loves her new teacher. Kimber starts Wednesday. She seems pretty excited about it. She went to VBS and Cheer Camp with no tears....so I'm praying we have a good day. I hope she loves it! I am teaching Pre-K at a Christian Daycare center in Farmington. Today was my first day. The day flew by. I have a great group of kiddos. I think we are going to have a great year!

Last week we went to Little Rock for Kimber's yearly checkup at Arkansas Children's Hospital. Dr. Patel said she was doing great. As long as we don't have any infections we can stay off the antibiotics and won't need surgery! We stayed at a great hotel. The kids had a lot of fun playing in the pool.

Waiting for her ultrasound.

At the end of July we celebrated my Grandma's 80th birthday at Mt. Magazine State Park.

I love how much he loves my family.

Whew. I think that catches us up for now. We are adding onto the house. I'll post some pictures when we are finished. I'll also be posting picture of Kimber on her first day!
