Still Behind.

Things have been so hectic. I think about blogging, but somehow the posts never get written.

I had a wonderful Mother's Day. Luke and the kids got me wild flowers, a new book and an iPad. Kinnison wrote and illustrated a book for me.One of the pages in her book said, "My mom loves me more than anything in the world." I must be doing something right! Kimber and Kanyon made a little scrapbook with pictures and hand prints. I loved it all! We spent the day at the farm as a family. It doesn't get any better than that!

It is late, but I wanted to say HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to my Mom. We couldn't survive without her. She gives unselfishly to our entire family. She takes wonderful care of my Grandparents and my Meme. She always helps with the kids. She is a fantastic cook. She and my dad work tirelessly at the farm. We are so thankful for everything she does and we are so blessed to have her in our lives!

Last week was rough. Sunday night Kanyon started running a temp. I took him to the doctor on Monday. He got antibiotics. By Wednesday both girls had it too. I took both girls to the doctor on Thursday and they got antibiotics too. Kinnison's temp peaked at 104.3. Neither doctor did a strep test because they said they would treat them irregardless, but they highly suspected strep.

Last week was Kimber's last day at MDO. Ever. She missed her last day because she was sick, but we stopped and said goodbye to her teacher and her friends. I am thankful a lot of her friends will be going to kindergarten with her!

Kanyon is talking like crazy. He is starting to talk in sentences. He can say; boot, you ok, i dunno, meme, grandpa, lets go, bye, hi, bite, yay and eat. I'm sure I am missing some. He is OBSESSED with tractors. He is having a tractor party. He will play in the dirt or rocks for hours. If you start any kind of motor he wants on...four wheeler, go kart, mower, car or tractor. He wants to ride! He loves to spend time in the garage with his daddy. His favorite food is a slim jim. He must get that from Kimber. I can't believe he is going to be two in less than a month!

We have SIX ball games scheduled for this week. Yesterday's game was cancelled because of the weather. I'm sure the fields will be too wet to play tomorrow. We have so many make up games. I don't think this season will ever end.

I got to spend some time with Luke today. Mom watched the kids and we went to the Buffalo. We were going to float it, but the weather didn't cooperate. We had a great time anyway. I love spending time with him. He is my best friend. I'm so thankful for him, and I am thankful he took a day off. He works too much!

I know I don't have to remind you, but please keep the prayers going up for Oklahoma. This is not the first time they have been hit and they have a very long road ahead of them. My heart breaks for anyone that has to endure that type of tragedy, but the elementary school is especially heartbreaking. I know that those children must have been terrified and their parents were probably even more so. I can not imagine not being with my children when something like that happened. Please pray for comfort for all of them.
