Anyway.

My whole life I have been talked about.  If I do something good for someone I am accused of ulterior motives. I've been accused of lying. I have been accused of infidelity. I have been endlessly lied about. I've been called selfish among many other things. It has always bothered me. I know what my intentions are. How could people think I am capable of these things? If they knew me at all they would know the truth. If  people are so quick to believe the worst in me, perhaps they never knew me at all? Of course I make mistakes like everyone else. We are all human. But, I don't understand why some people invent reasons to hate me.

I have to remind myself daily that it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. God knows my heart, my actions, and my intentions. I have to continue to live my life to please him and no one else. I pray for the ability to see the best in people. I pray for the ability to not pass judgment on others. And, I pray for the ability to forgive.

I have a wonderful life. I have three beautiful, smart, talented children and the most amazing husband in the world. I am truly blessed!

Matthew 6:34/ Kanyon is 19 Months Old!

This sweet, adorable boy turned 19 months old yesterday!

He has brought so much joy into our lives. He says "uh uh" for yes and no. He has recently started saying "nah".  He calls me "ma" now.  He can say: meow, ruff, what's that, uh oh, uh uh, nah, ma, sissy, dad, baba, that, this, pow, wow, whoa, yuck, ewww, deer. He can do anything you ask him, but will only do it when he wants to. He is understands everything you say. You can tell him to take something to someone or throw something away and he understands every single word. He loves to help me clean the floors and picks up better than the girls and Luke combined. If he is playing with a toy and you ask him to do something he puts the toy up where it goes. He has a major sweet tooth like his mama. After every meal he goes to the fridge and grunts for candy.

He loves to wrinkle up his face and squint his eyes.

He is full of personality. He loves to gives hugs and is very affectionate. He loves tractors, trains, motorcycles, blocks and the Lorax movie. He likes to pick up his tractor and take it with him wherever he goes. He loves to help his Daddy work on lawn mowers. He is obsessed with oil dry. He likes to sneak into the yard and climb up the swing set and go down the slide. He can do it by himself! He loves his Grandma and Grandpa. At Gammy's house he picks up their picture and points at it and laughs. He loves to ride with Grandpa in "Old Dandy". They are big buddies.

I don't know what we did without him in our lives. We all love him so incredibly much!

Randomness.

It has been a crazy week...

Monday Luke's Mom called to tell him that his brother, Kyle, was being taken by ambulance to the hospital. He was taken to Mercy in Rogers and they air lifted him to a hospital in Springfield. He had a brain hemorrhage, which has left him paralyzed on his right side. Luke picked Kinnison up from school that day and was going to take her and Kimber out to eat when we got the call they were heading to Springfield. Robin's car is broke down, so Luke drove the Subaru to her house to borrow.  He decided he wanted to go with his Mom to Springfield, so I drove to Sulphur to get the girls. I packed them some snacks and microwavable meals. Luke rented a hotel room Monday night and  rented a hospitality room at the hospital for three more nights. Wednesday I went to pick him up. We met a little ways past Joplin. Kanyon was still feeling bad and it made for a long drive! Last night Robin was told that Kyle could be in the hospital for 2-3 more weeks. They are not sure how much of the damage will be permanent  He is having a hard time speaking and answering simple questions. Prayers would be appreciated!

Wednesday night  we said goodbye to our goldfish. We have had him for years. We started out with two. A couple years ago Kinnison won a goldfish at the Washington County  Fair. He didn't live long and shortly after he died one of our other goldfishes died, so we were left with one. He started acting weird last week. I knew that something was wrong, but what do you do? I was his primary care giver, so the kids weren't too upset.

Yesterday I checked Kinnison out early and took all 3 kids to the doctor for flu shots. It went just as imagined. I didn't want to get their shots in September this year because when we do they always tell us we need a booster. And, who wants to do that twice? I decided to wait. Between being out of town, having sick kids and waiting for flu clinics we never got one. Eventually, all of our preferred doctors ran out of the vaccine, so we ended up at a doctor office in Lincoln. I am praying that kids don't get it! I was skeptical about getting it since so many people have had the shot and still gotten sick, but I have read that the vaccine can lessen the length and severity.

I went to the dentist last week with a toothache. My gums hurt when I flossed. We suspected a popcorn kernel  but couldn't find anything. My gums were inflamed and my tooth was discolored, so he decided to do a filling. Sure enough he found a popcorn kernel. He closed the gap between those two teeth, so hopefully it won't happen again. My tooth started throbbing on Tuesday. I went back to the dentist and they adjusted my bite. (with all 3 kids in the room) As of yesterday I still had some pain, so I am going on Monday for a cleaning and x-rays. Hoping it is better by then!

Update on the kids:

All three of them started antibiotics on December 20th. Since then Kimber has  had a stomach bug twice and  Kanyon had it once. Diarrhea, vomiting and 102 temp. No fun.

Kinnison started back to school on Monday. She said, "Did we always get up this early for school?"  I can't believe how big she is. She is growing up too fast. Hard to believe she will be a 2nd grader next year.

I think Kimber has grown a foot over the break. I can't believe she starts school next year. I pray she does well. I think it will be a hard adjustment for all of us. She is so sweet and very smart, but she is such a comedian. I hope it doesn't get her in trouble!

Kanyon is huge. No one believes me when I tell them he is 18 months old. He is very tall. His hair has grown and he has little curls sticking out in the back. He understand everything! He has gotten really good at giving open mouth kisses.Today he put his tractor on the couch and sat on it. He likes to help clean floors and puts stuff up where he got it. I think he might have my OCD. He went from eating nothing to eating everything. I can't seem to fill him up. He seems to be a perfect mix of Kimber and Kinnison. He has Kinnison's easy going personality and Kimber's crazy sense of humor.

Fun fact: They all have matching moles on their cheeks and they got it from me.
