Political Rant.

I have tried to avoid writing about political issues on my blog. There are so many things that President Obama and the current administration have done to outrage me, I could post about it daily. I will try to keep this one short.

Yesterday, a Boeing 747, followed by an F-16, flew over Ground Zero for a "photo op". The citizens of New York were terrified. Is our administration that ignorant? YES, they are! Guess what that "photo op" cost the American tax payer?! $328, 835.00.

Have we forgotten about 9/11?

2,974 people died on September 11, 2001.

President Obama claimed he did not know about this.

"It was something we found out about along with all of you. And it will not happen again"- Obama

So our Military can fly Air Force One and spend $328,835.00 without our President knowing about it? Do you feel safe? I don't. Do you think spending $328,835 for a pretty picture of Air Force One will fix our economy? I don't. I guess $328,835.00 is nothing when you spend ONE TRILLION dollars of tax payer money. I won't talk about the enormous failure of the bailout plan. Or how the banks and auto companies need more of OUR money. Or how our President consistently puts the United States in danger. Our Government's actions were ignorant, reckless, insensitive, disrespectful and unforgivable.

Saturday we got a lot fabulous freebies. Kinnison's favorite was the Pink Foam Energizer Bunny Ears. They have them every year. Earlier today I heard her and Kimber laughing, and this is what I found.

Race For The Cure.

Whew. I am exhausted! In the past we have always done the 5k. This year the Komen Foundation requested that people with strollers do the Family Walk instead. So we did. I am glad. Loading, unloading, feeding, wiping, changing, pushing the double stroller and picking up the pacifier about 38 times, wore me out! I was rewarded for all my hard work. After waiting in line to get some fabulous freebies, we sat down to enjoy some Skinny Cow Ice Cream. While we were enjoying our ice cream, Kinnison hugged me and said, "Mom, I had fun today." I am so proud of my girls. I am proud of my team as well. Mommies on a Mission raised $2,848.56! YAY! We were #13 out of over 300 teams! Kinnison was #2 in the youth division! I am so blessed. I am so thankful that I don't personally know someone who has battled breast cancer. Tonight we will be saying a prayer for those who have faught breast cancer, survived breast cancer or lost a loved one to breast cancer. If you want to be humbled, go to the Race for the Cure and stand at the finish line, or read the shirts and bibs that honor a loved one who has faught and lost, or faught and won the battle. I got chills everytime a volunteer at the finish line yelled, "Survivor," and handed a woman a pink flower. Race for the Cure is an amazing experience and I encourage everyone to participate!

Fun In The Sun

We went to the farm to enjoy the beautiful weather. This was Kimber's first time to get to run and play in the grass. She wasn't a fan of the grass on her feet at first. But, after a couple of minutes she decided it was kinda fun. Our farm visit was cut short because Kimber started crying and threw up. She is now running a 101.1 temp. We just took Kinnison to the doctor yesterday and Kimber just finished up antibiotics last week! I am so tired of my babies being sick. Even though she didn't feel well, I got some great photos.

Easter Photos

We decided to use a local studio for our Easter photos this year. We went to Brian and Jenny Stark at What My Eyes Have Seen Photography. They did an amazing job!

Easter Part II

The girls were so excited the Easter Bunny came. They got to play with their goodies and then we went to the farm. It was very windy and very rainy. We were confined to the farmhouse. It is very small and we had a lot of people in there. No one seemed to mind. We had a great time. The Easter Bunny came to visit them again this year. Kimber was SO excited. Her face was priceless. We had some great food. Gammy got all the great grandkids a kite. She also got Kinnison and Kimber some new pink and brown Nike Shox. They are adorable.

Easter Part I

We colored our Easter Eggs last night. Kimber was not really excited about it. So, I bribed her with a sucker. I got some cute photos. We went to Luke's Mom's house to celebrate Easter yesterday. She bought the girls a sand box and tons of candy. They had a wonderful time. We went to an old school in Sulphur Springs to have our Easter egg hunt. On the way there Kimber fell asleep. Luke carried her around and hunted eggs for her. She woke up and got excited. She picked out one pink egg and carried it around the whole time.
