Happy Easter!

Last weekend we celebrated Easter with Luke's family. I took family pictures for Luke's mom. I am very pleased with how they turned out.

Robin got the girls too much as always. She gets tons of candy and eggs for them to find. They had a blast and the weather was wonderful!

Friday we went to Gammy's house to color eggs. We colored almost 6 dozen! Uncle Jim has some crazy egg laying chickens and he supplied all of our eggs! It was entertaining and very messy. I think we broke half a dozen in the process of dying them and I am not sure how many actually made it to the egg hunt in one piece.

The Easter Bunny brought lots of goodies to our house. Sunday we went to the farm. It rained the whole time, but let up long enough for the kids to hunt eggs. The Easter Bunny came to visit. The kids always enjoy seeing the Easter Bunny at the farm! The Easter Bunny brought all of the kids Fun Dip and Bubbles. The bubbles were a huge hit!

It started raining on Thursday and didn’t stop until lastnight. As of this morning Fayetteville had 10.90” of rain. Some places had around 14”. There is a lot of damage. We have a chance of more rain tonight and tomorrow. Our power has went off and on, our roof is leaking and we had some damage to the driveway and pond dam. None of that stuff is important though. My family means the world to me and we are all safe. I pray that it stays that we stay that way!

Big Boy!

Kayon has been measuring big for a while now. I was 30 weeks and 5 days yesterday and he measured 33 weeks! Dr. Pickhardt is going to do an ultrasound at around 36/37 weeks to see how big he is. We are still planning on inducing a week early. (Kimber never measured over a week early and she was 9lbs 7oz induced 2 days early!) Dr. Pickhardt said everything sounded perfect though! I have gained around 16 pounds so far. As of tomorrow I will be 31 weeks pregnant and have 63 days to go. Less than 60 if we induce early! The first trimester really drug for me, but the rest of the pregnancy has flown by. I am thankful for that. I am ready to meet him. (aka- done being pregnant)

Luke's mom gave us money, so we ordered the playpen! We set it up downstairs. I love it! My friends Fran and Beth are throwing me a shower on May 15th. I am so excited! I have a few things to finish packing for the hospital and we will be ready to go!

Catching Up.

Things have been so hectic this week. Fran and I had a wonderful SPAcation. The day we returned my parents and sister took my Meme to the emergency room. She was admitted that night. The doctors believed her low sodium level was the problem. But, she quickly took a turn for the worse. She was experiencing excruciating pain in her abdomen and on one side. We were afraid it might be her appendix. She suffered all day and they finally did a CT scan. They thought that she had a perforated appendix. They scheduled her for surgery the next day. Once they got in there they found that her appendix was fine, but she had a perforated ulcer on her intestine. They fixed it and removed her appendix. She finally got to come home on Sunday after a week in the hospital. She was very ready! We spent Sunday painting her bedroom at Mom and Dad's house. This week we have been moving her stuff in and sorting through it all. She didn't eat or get out of bed for almost two weeks. She is very weak and has lost weight. She still has a long recovery ahead. Please pray that she starts gaining some strength and feeling better soon.

In other news, Kinnison lost her first tooth on Sunday! The tooth fairy brought her $10! Guess what she did with it? That sweet, wonderful girl put it in our vacation savings jar. She makes me proud! I have to register her for kindergarten tomorrow. This is something I have been dreading all year. I wish I could just keep her home with me. It does not seem possible that she is old enough to go to school. I know that she will love it though and she will do great. One of my favorite qualities about Kinnison is how much she enjoys helping others.

Kimber had her speech screening this week. She passed all of the motor skill tests, hearing tests and language tests. Her speech score was low, but not low enough to qualify for speech. She has made huge progress in the past year (since getting tubes). The speech pathologist was not concerned. If she keeps improving like she has over the past year she will be on level in no time! One of my favorite qualities about Kimber is how appreciative she is. She says thank you to me for everything I do for her and everything I buy her. Such a sweet girl!

We went to the farm and took some photos yesterday. I love how they turned out!
